Fortnite's parental controls live in your child's Epic Games account, protected by a 6-digit PIN. In about 15 minutes you can control who your child talks to, filter mature language in text chat, require a PIN to add friends, gate purchases, cap island ratings, and set daily playtime limits and allowed play windows.
