Who can use the site

The site is intended for parents and carers aged 18 or over. By using it you confirm you are at least 18. The site is not designed for use by children.

What we provide

Parents WiredIn is an information resource. We share guidance, checklists, tool reviews, news and step-by-step guides to help parents keep their children safer online. Our paid Ultimate Guide and any membership give you access to more detailed versions of this material.

The content reflects our own research and experience. It is general information, not professional, legal, medical or security advice, and it is not tailored to your family's situation. Online safety tools and platforms change often, so some details may be out of date by the time you read them. You are responsible for deciding what is right for your family and for supervising your children. We do not guarantee that following our guidance will prevent any particular harm.

AI-assisted content

Some of our content — including our Cyber Kids News summaries and parts of our guides — is created with the help of AI tools and then reviewed by us. It is general information only, may contain errors or become out of date, and is not professional, legal, medical or security advice. You are responsible for checking anything important and deciding what is right for your family.

Accounts and membership

Some features need an account. Keep your login details private and let us know if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Our paid membership is an annual subscription (currently A$13.60 per year, shown at checkout). It renews automatically each year at the then-current price until you cancel, and we email you a receipt and tax invoice each time. Billing is operated under Marketing Parlour and processed by our payment provider, Stripe; the charge on your statement will show as "PARENTSWIREDIN" (it may appear alongside the Marketing Parlour prefix). By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges. You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep access until then. Except where the law requires, we don't provide partial refunds for the unused part of a period. We'll give you reasonable advance notice of any price change, which applies only from your next renewal — you can cancel before it takes effect. Payments are handled by Stripe and we never store your full card details.

Refunds and your consumer rights

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy, which may include a refund.

If you're in the UK, nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; note that for digital content supplied immediately you agree we may start supplying it straight away, and to the extent permitted this affects the statutory 14-day cancellation right. If you're in the United States, nothing here limits any rights you have under applicable law.

Because our paid products are digital content delivered immediately, we are not generally required to offer a refund if you simply change your mind. If something is wrong with what you bought, contact us at info@parentswiredin.com and we will work with you to put it right.

Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

• break any law or infringe anyone's rights;
• copy, resell or redistribute our paid content without permission;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the site, other accounts or our systems;
• upload anything harmful, misleading or malicious; or
• use the site in a way that disrupts it for others.

We may suspend or remove access if you break these terms.

Our content and intellectual property

The articles, guides, checklists, images and other material on the site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may read and use our free material for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, sell or distribute it without our written permission.

Third-party tools and links

We mention and review third-party apps, services and tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, performance, pricing or privacy practices. Our reviews are our own opinion and we do not use affiliate links or earn commissions from them. Any dealings you have with a third party are between you and that third party.

Disclaimers and liability

We provide the site and our content "as is" and do our best to keep them accurate and available, but we do not promise they will always be correct, complete or uninterrupted.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are allowed to limit our liability, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant product. Where a consumer guarantee applies and the law allows, our liability is limited to resupplying the product or paying the cost of doing so.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the consumer guarantees that apply in your country. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for anything connected with the site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Australia. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the country where you live, and the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence still apply to you.
